George's story
George is a man with one son. He is married to one wife, who is also in business. He has been keeping poultry and selling vegetables for five years.
With the 20,000 Kenyan shillings loan, George would like to buy a water pump and water pipes for his farm. The rain has been his source of irrigation water in the past and due to seasonality, he decided to seek a loan to supply water to his farm. He also faces the challenge of transportation as he incurs heavy costs taking his farm produce to the market.
He sells poultry and his farm products from his home, door-to-door and at the market. He hopes to construct a bigger poultry house in the future. George joined Yehu to access loans to boost his business capital.
He owns a home that has electricity but no water. His greatest expenses are transport costs and food.
