Wazo Tegeta Group's story

Paulina O. is in her mid-thirties and is married with three children aged 17, 14 and 12. She has been operating a stone quarry as well as a small clothes shop for six years. She works from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and makes a good monthly profit. This will be Paulina’s 2nd loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used her previous loan to increase her stock of stone for her quarry, a loan which she has successfully repaid. With this loan, Paulina hopes to buy more stone for her quarry in order to expand production. Her dream is to one day start selling her clothes in other cities in Tanzania. Paulina will share this loan with her loan group, Wazo Tegeta, which totals fifteen members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for the repayment of their loans.
