Benjamin Kiprotich's story
Benjamin Kiprotich M. is a 32-year-old man who is married to Ursila Jepchirchir. They have two children aged four years and six months old respectively. They live in Kapseret, ten kilometers from Eldoret town. Benjamin operates a motorbike transport service from which he earns his income. He has been in this business for the past ten years, generating an income of Kshs 12,000 per month. Benjamin was introduced to KADET by one of its credit officers and he is applying for his first loan of Kshs 50,000 with KADET. With this loan he plans to purchase another motorbike. Benjamin hopes, with the income he is going to make, to invest more in the transportation sector and, in future, to buy a taxi.
