María's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy construction materials such as cement, bricks, and tubing etc.

María's story

Maria is 54 years old. She is married, and she is the mother of 3 children, of whom one is dependent upon her. She began her economic activities with a small grocery store business. Afterwards, she planted 2 manzanas [approximately 3.4 acres] of bananas with the support of one of her children who is outside the country and who sent her money.

Fundenuse has given her loans to invest in her home. Maria currently has the need to construct an artesian well to supply her home (to make the purchases and to carry out the rest of the work) and also to establish a small irrigation system for the banana crop. In this way, she and her family will be able to have a better quality of life.

It is for this reason that Maria is requesting the loan from Fundenuse with Kiva funds. Her next goal is to acquire a submersible pump for the well.
