Ubukombe Acb Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more stones and bricks to sell.

Ubukombe Acb Group's story

Geraldine is a 36-year-old mother of three children between the ages of 8 and 14 years. Her husband is a driver. For the past two years, Geraldine has been managing a quarry business.

Geraldine is the leader of the group named Ubukombe ACB, which means “giant” in English. The group members who are partaking in this loan sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Geraldine will use her portion of the loan to buy more stones and bricks to sell in her community so that she can meet the demand from her customers. With the profits from her sales, she hopes to pay school fees for her children and also provide medical insurance for her family.

Geraldine is grateful for the support of the lenders.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group.
