A loan helped to purchase more candies, biscuits and other items to sell.

Watta's story

Meet 31-year-old Watta from Liberia. She is living together with her partner along with two children, both of whom are currently attending school while living at home.

Watta deals in a business that sells candies, biscuits and other items. She has been in this business for the past 9 years now. She works 15 hours per day, six days a week and has had no problem with her business.

Watta has requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more candies, biscuits and other items to sell. She says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family, and to educate her children. In the future she wants to continue sending her children to school and build a house. She says thanks and sends her appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
