A loan helped Operating capital to buy craft materials.

Prosperidad Group's story

Doña Esmirna is 60 years old and lives with her husband. She spends her time selling craft supplies used for weddings, baptisms, girls’ fifteenth birthday parties, and other events. Esmirna has thirty years of experience in this business which has helped her to support herself. However, she lacks the capital needed to keep her store well-stocked. She organized a group of neighbors who have known each other for a long time. This Communal Bank chose the name “Prosperidad” (Prosperity) and consists of ten women who each have their own business. Esmirna expects that the loan will help her get ahead, expand her customer base, and increase her sales volume.
