Dorris's story

Meet 40 year-old Dorris from Liberia. She is living together with her spouse and 4 children. All of her children are currently attending school while living at home. She attended school up to 1st grade. She runs a business which sells drinks, rice, oil, vita, and other items. She has deals in this business for the past 10 years now and works 12 hours per day, 6 days a week. For the time being, she has no problem with her business.

She requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more drinks, rice, oil, vita, and other items to sell and increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help improve their standard of living. She is so proud of her business because it helps provide for her needs. In the future, she would like to educate her children. She says thanks and gives appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
