Mauricia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy display cabinets and chairs to set up her business.

Mauricia's story

Mauricia, age 64, is divorced. She is a hard-working mother and lives in her own home with her 2 children and her grandchildren. For some years she sold candies at bus stops, but she had to stop because of the obstacles generated by her competition. Now, for 4 years she has prepared salchipapas (fried chicken and potatoes), a dish that she sells in the afternoons and that people like. She sells from the door of her home, which she does with great patience from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. She sells to her neighbours, who are regular customers and like her cleanliness and the flavour of her food. She is happy with her business; since there is not much competition nearby, her earnings are good. In the future she wants to open up a restaurant in her home. This is her twelfth loan with MFP, and she promises to repay all of her quotas on time, since she wants to have future help. With the loan that she is requesting, she will be able to purchase a display cabinet and chairs to better set up her business.
