Josephine's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy new assets for events hosting, for example plastic chairs, traditional wear and room furniture.

Josephine's story

Josephine is a Rwandan entrepreneur who owns and runs a hotel. It is a hotel that provides different services such as guest houses and event hosting. The hotel is located in Musanze.

The hotel was started five years ago by Josephine. Josephine was a nurse but decided to resign because she had five teenage boys who needed her full-time attention. She was working away from home and had land that was not of use but a liability. She built the motel from savings and money from selling other property.

Covid-19 hit the business down, but Josephine decided to start a grocery shop and supplied groceries to keep generating some income. Now that the Covid lockdown is lifted, the event hosting business is booming and accommodation guests are coming in as well. Josephine is requesting a loan to change furniture and buy new assets for events hosting such as plastic chairs, traditional wear, and room furniture.

The hotel has six permanent and four casual employees who work there every day; they are able to support their families and pay children's school fees.
