A loan helped to buy good-quality fertilizer, which will help increase soil fertility and productivity on her banana farm.

Ruth's story

Ruth(35 years old) is a noble, hardworking, honest and humble farmer. She is a resident of the Meru area of Kenya, married and has many years of experience working independently, which she learned from her parents.

She owns her own beautiful field with a spectacular view. She has a rock-solid family composed of her husband and three lovely children.

When speaking with Ruth, it becomes obvious that she is a very dynamic, hardworking, helpful woman and that everything she does is for her family's benefit and wellbeing. She has always striven to give her children a decent life.

Ruth makes money selling produce from her farm, including milk and banana crops. She enjoys plowing her farm and watering her plants.

With the loan, she plans to buy good-quality fertilizer, which will help increase soil fertility and productivity for her banana crops.

Increased productivity will allow her to improve her quality of life and living standards and to pay tuition fees for her children.

She is very grateful in advance for having a chance for a Kiva loan.
