A loan helped to increase her capital of cheese.

217 Wiñaya Group's story

The 217 Wiñaya communal bank, as part of the Centro Focal Copacabana, is made up of eight members and is led by officers, of whom Amalia is the president.

The loan they will get will benefit small microentrepreneurs, of whom Amalia is one. She currently has a business selling cheese at her home. She states that she learned this business at her own initiative ten years ago.

The loan she will get now will be to increase her capital of cheese. Later, she will sell it at her sales space, which is her home. This type of work allows her to generate resources to support her family financially, since she is married and has two children. Her aspirations are for her children to become professionals and for her business to be stable.

Note: Three people are in the photo due to the COVID-19 health emergency. It is for this reason that a photo was not taken of the whole bank, to prevent the gathering of people.
