Kalimurhima Group's story

Deodata is a client of the micro-finance institution Hekima and the president of the village group "Kalimurhima." She is married, 50 years old, and a mother of 10 children, who are all in school. Her partner is unemployed.

Deodata sells flour. She started this business 20 years ago with start-up funds she received from her mother. Later, she joined Hekima to support her business, which continues to develop. With this new loan, she is going to buy sacks of flour, which will strengthen her initial capital. One challenge to her business lies in bad product.

Deodata would like to develop her business. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and their partners for their support to business owners who lack access to banking services in the context of the global COVID-19 crisis. The photo includes only the group leader in order to respect social distancing measures in place for COVID-19.
