Maggie's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy more boxes of fish and drinks in order to meet her customers' needs.
Maggie is a 19-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother in the Nchelenge district in Zambia. Maggie sells fish and an assortment of drinks at wholesale prices. She is requesting a Kiva loan in order to buy more boxes of fish and drinks in order to meet her customers' needs. She plans to use the profit she earns to help with her family's basic needs and to support vulnerable people in her community. Maggie will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering three hours per week as a CAMFED Learner Guide. She will facilitate classes from CAMFED’s ‘My Better World’ program with students at her local secondary school, helping to build children’s self-esteem and motivating them to remain in school.
