Rosemary's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

Rosemary's story

Rosemary is a 25-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and child in the Nchelenge district in Zambia. Rosemary sells groceries such as tomatoes, chisense (small fish), eggs, salt, sugar and onions. Rosemary is requesting a Kiva loan in order to buy more groceries and meet her customers' needs. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her family’s basic needs. Rosemary will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering three hours per week as a CAMFED Learner Guide. She will facilitate classes from CAMFED’s ‘My Better World’ program with students at her local secondary school, helping to build children’s self-esteem and motivating them to remain in school.
