Yoana Mailin's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy local supplies for her new food processing start-up (natural ice cream and tamales).

Yoana Mailin's story

Meet Yoana Mailin!

She is a multifaceted entrepreneur, from a rural community in East Panama, who is dedicated to her family and her different business initiatives.

Yoana Mailin is a very proactive woman who is always trying to find ways to provide for her family. She started distributing ice cream and poultry products door-to-door from a stablished company in the city. After continuous growth in her sales, she realized that she could make a better margin by producing the ice cream from natural fruits and preparing the tamales from her home. Not only does this change in the business model have better margins for her, but these home-made products are healthier for her community as they are organic and sustainably produced.

She bought some equipment with her savings and already started selling her home-produced products (fruit ice-cream and tamales), and the business has been a success! Now, Yoana Mailin needs to buy more inventory and raw materials to make her products, which is why she is applying today for a loan to buy local supplies and raw material to continue growing her small food production business.

Thank you for being part of Yoana Mailin's growth!
