01_Ngollar Group's story

This "banc villageois," created in May 2002, shelters this group of brave women who are from the same village; they share strong values of mutual aid and respect. They have mastered credit.

Bernadette Ndew is 72 years old. She is standing to the right side of the photo, raising her hand. She is a widow and the mother of five children, 3 of whom are girls, they are all adults. She also has grandchildren.

Madame Bernadette Ndew manages a small food products business (smoked fish, dried fish, beans, millet). She stocks up in the monthly markets and resells from home in her village. She has several years of experience in this sector.

With her new loan, she is going to buy 150kgs of millet, 200kgs of beans, 10 bags of hibiscus. She doesn't have any difficulties selling her products because she has a good customer base at the central town market. Her profits allow her to save up, manage her expenses, and help her grandson go to school.
