Zamuka Urunana Group's story

Annonciathe is a 43-year-old mother of three children who are between the ages of 10 and 20 years old. Her husband is a businessman, and for the past fifteen years, she has owned a Grocery store.

Annonciathe is the leader of the group named ZAMUKA URUNANA, which means “Solidarity” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Annonciathe will use her loan to buy more rice, beans, sugar, cooking oil and soap to sell within her community and meet customer demand. With the profits from her sales, she hopes to be able to furnish her house.

Annonciathe is thankful for the support of the lenders.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group.
