A loan helped to buy an ox plough.

Kwo Loke Vsla Group's story

Alice is a 34-year-old widow and she has six children. Five of her children attend school. Alice is a farmer and she grows vegetables such as onions, cabbage, tomatoes, and egg plants. After harvest, she sells the vegetables at the nearby trading center. It is her primary source of income. Alice's life has been very difficult since the death of her husband, especially, providing basic needs for her children is tough. She had to sell the ox plough for paying the school fees of her children for the last term.

Alice is seeking a loan from VisionFund to enable her buy an ox plough which she will use to plough her farm. It would help her generate good yields which she could eventually sell in the market and get good returns to sustain her family. Alice faces the challenge of low prices at which she has to sell the vegetables and the pests that sometimes destroy her produce. She is grateful to Kiva and VisionFund for their support.
