06_Magatte Asta Lompoul Group's story

This group is made up of six women who share strong ties of solidarity and mutual aid. They live in the same village and seized the opportunity to join the "banc villageois" at its inception in the area in December of 2012. Their primary activity is retail sales. Aida, (standing on the far right in the photo with her hand raised), is the representative for the group. She is 47 years old. She is married with 11 children, five of whom are girls. She sells peanuts at retail. She benefits from experience in this business having done is for several years. With this new loan, she plans to buy some bags of peanuts for resale at retail in her village. With the profits, she plans to develop her business, build up her savings and help her husband take care of the family expenses.
