06_Magatte Asta Lompoul Group's story

This group is made up of 22 women who share strong ties of solidarity and mutual aid. They live in the same village and seized the opportunity to join the "banc villageois" at its inception in the area in December of 2012. Their primary business is retail sales. Ndoumbé, (standing on the far right of the picture with her hand raised), is the representative for the group. She is 55 years old. She is married and the mother of seven children, three of whom are girls. She does retail sales of bar soap and powdered soap. She benefits from experience in this business having done it for several years. With this new loan, she plans to buy some cases of bar soap and powdered soap to sell at retail in her village. With the profits, she plans to develop her business, build up her savings and help her children with daily expenses.
