A loan helped to repair his old house.

Pheak's story

Pheak, 30 years old, is a married man with two children living in Angkor Borei District, Takeo Province. He is a conscientious fisherman who fishes at the river and collects the fish to sell at the market. He works with his spouse, earning in the vicinity of $6 USD each day. He has been doing this for almost three years. His spouse helps him greatly in earning more additional income by working as garment worker at the factory.

Currently, Pheak's house is lacking and he has requested a loan in the amount of KHR 4,000,000 to repair his old house. With this loan support, he can purchase construction supplies such as brick, cement, and zins and pay for labor costs. The advantage of new roofs is to help with rain and storm protection. Clean ceilings provide comfort for living and waterproofing.

Thanks to the Kiva lenders for their role in the comprehensive development and reduction of poverty of borrowers and their families.
