Mariama's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy goods in the big cities to develop her trade, which she carries out in her city's market.

Mariama's Group's story

Created in May 2010, this group is composed of seven dynamic and supportive women who are mainly active in trade. They are among the first members.

Mariama, standing on the right of the photo with her hand raised, is the representative. She is married and has four children, including three daughters; she is 60 years old.

She works in the sale of children's clothes for both boys and girls. But she also sells wax, veil and Bazin fabrics. She buys her stock in the big cities, or from suppliers who deliver the goods to her. Her activity takes place in the central market of her neighbourhood where she has a stall.

With this loan she will buy wax fabrics and children's clothes to better meet the needs of her customers. With her profits she will take care of her family's needs, and with the rest she will strengthen her business.
