Lukogo Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy second-hand shoes, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Lukogo Group's story

Madam Beatrice is a client of the Hekima microfinance institution and presides over the Lukogo village group. She is 40 years old, married, and has 3 children who are all in school. Her husband is a shopkeeper, and she sells shoes.

She started this business 15 years ago with start-up capital from her husband. She later involved the Hekima programme to support her business, during which it gradually evolved. With this new loan, she will stock up on second-hand shoes, which will strengthen her initial capital. Her business faces no challenges.

She would like to progress and would like her children to continue studying. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to owners of unbanked businesses during the global COVID-19 crisis. The photo is only of the group leader because of COVID-19 in compliance with social distancing measures.
