A loan helped to buy seeds and fertilizers to expand her crop farm.

Juliana's story

Hello lenders. At 45 years of age, Juliana (a mom of four) is motivated to continue farming since it provides her the means to sustain her family, educate her children, and buy various assets to use on her farm. She lives in the Kapsowar region of Kenya, which is commonly known for its sweet crops. Like others in her region, Juliana plants maize and keeps dairy animals.

Juliana is seeking a loan in order to buy seeds and fertilizers to expand her crop farm. By scaling up her business, she will be able to reduce production costs and increase output. She is a hardworking small-holder farmer who has set out to achieve big things in her life.

Her strategy is to use the returns from this investment to pay for more farm inputs. The lack of farm inputs is a major problem that leads to many farms closing down because of yields that are of poor quantity and quality. If Juliana has a surplus, she plans to reinvest the profits back into her business since her current way of life is not so demanding.

With this loan, Juliana will be able to attain food security for her household and also improve her living conditions.
