Kuña Mbarete Group's story

The group named “Kuña Mbarete” was formed by several friends and neighbors from Ciudad del Este. They are seeking to improve their quality of life and that of their families. The members are starting their second loan cycle with the Women’s Committee Program.

Elvira is one of the members. She sells fruit for a living and says that her business is modest. Elvira gives her best effort so that she can provide a decent quality of life for her family. She indicated that she decided to join this group because it will be very helpful to her as she accomplishes her goals and objectives.

Elvira defines herself as a person who does not give up and works hard to continue providing the best for her family. She is requesting a loan to buy fresh fruits to sell so that she can satisfy her customers and continue her business.

Note: The photo shows only one person, even though this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo in order to avoid congregating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
