Kanyashande Bataka Kwetungura, Kihihi Group's story

Provia T. belongs to the Kanyashande Bataka Kwetungura group in Kihihi. Her main source of livelihood for the past three years has been selling goods like maize and millet in the Kanyanshande trading centre in Kihihi. It is with earnings from this business that this hardworking and determined lady has managed to sustain her family of four children. This 35-year-old dynamic business woman has reached a point where profits accruing to her business now amount to 280,000 UGX a month. With steady progress in the growth of her small enterprise, Provia reckons her prospects are rising with every passing day.

With a loan coming her way, Provia is convinced that she will be able to buy more cash crops like maize and beans so that she does not run short of stock and supplies. This will improve her sales revenue and enable her to live a self-sustaining life. She looks to educating her children so they will become important people who can support themselves in the near future.
