Jackline's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped Jackline restock her restaurant business, open other branches and pay school fees for her children.

Jackline's story

Jackline is a proud mother of three children, two sons and a daughter. The first born is 23 year old and is followed by the 17- and 14-year-old. As a single mother, Jackline has to work very hard to provide for her whole family.

Despite the challenges, she has managed to create employment through the restaurant that she runs, which she is keen on seeing grow. Her dream is to open more branches in the future, and all her loans are geared toward this goal.

She is so grateful for all the support she has received from lenders through Kiva's field partner ECLOF Kenya. Her last loan enabled her to open the business that she now runs and also to educate her children. She was able to repay the loan on time and she is confident that her business is growing.

Jackline kindly requests another loan, which will help her to grow her business and also to pay school fees for her children. Seeing as she gets fewer customers during the rainy season, part of her strategic growth will be to begin providing delivery services to ensure sustained growth. She has proposed repaying her loan faithfully using her improved profits and is very grateful for all the support that will be provided.
