Maria Fernanda's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase quintals of rice, peanuts, a planting kit (certified seeds, urea, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides), and more.

Maria Fernanda's story

Maria Fernanda and her family live in Portoviejo, a city affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016 and now by the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in production of vegetables, legumes and tropical fruits for internal consumption.

Maria Fernanda and her husband are merchants of eggs, rice and peanuts by the quintal in different formats. They also grow peanuts on their own land. She works every day buying and selling these products.

All the family fell ill to Covid-19 but are now recovered; unfortunately her father-in-law was the only one to pass away. Currently she is back working following bio safety protocols.

This loan will be used to buy quintals of rice, peanuts and a planting kit (certified seeds, urea, fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides). Her dream is to increase peanut production and sales.
