Marjorie Jessenia's story

Marjorie Jessenia and her family live in Portoviejo, a city affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016 and now by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a city rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

Marjorie Jessenia is a merchant of various household products such as sheets, quilts, bedspreads, bows, headbands, and a variety of makeup from many brands. She also sells on WhatsApp. She leaves them with her customers on credit and collects weekly.

In her family, her spouse got sick from COVID-19 and is recovered. At first, the social distancing left her without work due to the fear of the illness and various restrictions which prevented going out to sell. But, she is currently working, following the biosafety protocols.

This loan is to purchase orders of sheet sets, lipstick, various tones of concealers, eyeshadow, headbands, etc. Her dream is to own a retail space and for her family to be very healthy.
