Monserrate Maribel's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy bananas, cheeses, ice cream, t-shirts, pants, etc.

Monserrate Maribel's story

Monserrate Maribel and her family live in Picoaza which is known for its trade activity and religious holidays. It produces vegetables, legumes and tropical fruits and is a source of progress and the main informal commercial center of Manabi.

Monserrate Maribel rents a space where she has a small ice cream business. Every day she sells a variety of ice cream in different flavors and formats. She also sells packaged meat pies and sandwiches, and a variety of women’s, men’s and children’s clothing.

Her family suffered from Covid-19 and have all recovered. At first social distancing kept her from working for fear of contagion and several restrictions impeded her from going out to sell but now she is attending to customers using bio safety protocols.

This loan is to buy bananas, cheeses, ice cream, t-shirts, pants, etc. Her dream is to have her own commercial space and for her family to stay healthy.
