A loan helped to buy sheep to raise for resale.

01_Ndiakhate Gormone Group's story

These women are part of an association established in their area in February 2001. They are from the same village and share solid kinship ties. Their main business is livestock fattening. These honest women have paid back over ten loans on time.

Mbène, the representative to the far right dressed in blue, is 64 years old. She is married and the mother of ten children. Three of her sons attend school.

Mbène fattens sheep, which she buys from a neighboring village and raises at home. She has accumulated 20 years of experience in this industry. She simultaneously has a small business selling miscellaneous goods.

With her new loan, she plans to buy four sheep and livestock feed. After five to six months of fattening, she will sell the sheep in the village for a profit. Her earnings will enable her to increase her savings, help with daily expenses, and expand her flock.
