Ajira's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase a variety of fabric in bulk.

Ajira's story

Ajira is a 19-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her parents and siblings in the Bole District of Ghana. She owns a business of making dresses and selling fabrics. Ajira is requesting a Kiva loan to purchase a variety of fabric in bulk to increase her profit margin and meet the customer demand. She plans to reinvest the profit she earns back into the business.

Ajira will repay the 'social interest' on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED Learner Guide. Her duties will include facilitating classes from CAMFED’s ‘My Better World’ program with students at a local secondary school, helping to build their self-esteem, and motivating them to remain in school.
