A loan helped purchase stock in larger quantities to meet her customer demands.

Robertha Afriyie's story

Robertha Afriyie is a 26-year-old entrepreneur who lives alone in the Accra district in Ghana. She owns a clothing store that sells printed fabrics. She is requesting a Kiva loan to purchase stock in larger quantities to meet her customer demands. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her family's need and continue her education.

Robertha will repay the 'social interest' on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED Transition Guide. She will support other young women who are just entering the CAMFED Association by delivering an orientation course with weekly sessions on topics including health, financial literacy and career guidance.
