but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase fabric, thread, and elastic, and to pay for the electricity, etc.

Gema Maricela's story

Gema Maricela is 23 years old, single, and does not have children at this time. She lives in her parents' house. They live in Portoviejo, a city affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016 and now by the COVID-19 pandemic. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruit for domestic consumption.

Gema Maricela is a tailor and sews all sorts of athletic clothing. At her house, she has a shop where many people come and request her sewing of athletic gear in advance and personalized. Her mother also helps her with the sales. She works from Monday to Saturday.

They all got sick from COVID-19 in her family and are recovered. At first the social distancing left her without work due to the fear of the illness and various restriction which prevented selling and sewing. But, currently she is working, following the biosafety protocols.

This loan is to purchase fabric, thread, and elastic, and to pay for the electricity, etc. Her dream is to have her own house and for her family to be very healthy.
