Christopher's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped a small black-owned business cover our inventory and advertising costs as our reach grows.

Christopher's story

I run Blac funds Matter with my wife, and my 4-year-old son helps us with his cuteness when we are stressed. I honestly started this business for them and every other black family that is trying to make it. My wife and I both came from the suburbs, we've both seen the differences between predominantly black neighborhoods compared to predominantly white neighborhoods, and we've both experienced racism. To be brutally honest, we didn't start Blac Funds Matter to combat racism, As long as people exist, a form of biast will always be around (Some people always need to feel superior for whatever dumb reason). Our goal with BlacFundsMatter.com is to make serious changes in the Black Community, and the policies that are made to affect us. I never was a person who liked marching, but when protests were going on in 2020, and I watched all of the civil unrest. I knew I couldn't sit back and do nothing (I don’t want my son to have to experience the same nonsense that we’re experiencing today). Protests get attention, but I know from my decade of working in sales and management, that money makes changes. We noticed that during the protests everyone was saying phrases such as "Buy Black" and "Support Black Businesses". But we noticed that it wasn't always easy to find black businesses. So we made a website that categorizes & aggregates over 300 Black Owned Businesses, and we created a subscription box that allows our visitors to sample products from these various businesses. We launched our website in June of 2021, and we have been steadily growing. We know that if we reach the masses with this business we can make real change. Please donate today and help us continue our vision. Thank you.
