Chinvano-2 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more veggies and cereals from other smaller farmers to sell in the market.

Chinvano-2 Group's story

Chinvano-2 is a group of 15 smallholder farmers from Tsangano District in Tete Province in Mozambique.

The group has worked together for more than three years. Most of the members are women. They help each other with different activities such as production, acquisition of certified agricultural inputs, and access to the market. The group also saves together, so that any member in need of money for production can borrow some funds from the group.

In 2020, the group started benefitting from training courses, such as business planning and farmer-field school. This helped them to improve their production as well as their business management.

Armando, the man in the back wearing a red t-shirt, feels proud of being a member of the group since his business has improved a lot after joining. He can now see the fruits of his labor in agriculture through the improvement of his family's wellbeing.

The group needs to buy more veggies and cereals from other smaller farmers to sell in the market. This is why they are requesting a Kiva loan.
