Johanna's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped women-owned business to buy equipment and do renovations to star a Tea Store.

Johanna's story

We want to open Gharcia Store, a Tea Store at 647 East Main Street in Meriden, Connecticut. A place where people can get organic herbal tea. We moved from New York, three years ago to Meriden Ct. We came to this city without any job or money. Now our three children are happy and feel this city as home. Our property is a mix-use property with a commercial space. We need to have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom and the main entrance by city requirement to Open. We already have a wholesale authorized distribution account with a prestigious USDA organic herb certify company and our resale state license. We have everything we need to open as soon as we can complete this requirement. At this moment, we don't qualify for any loan or grant. It has been impossible for us to get funding thru a financial institution. Our family is full of hope to get this business open soon! We thank you in advance for your support. It will mean a big step for our family. This business will be the opportunity to establish a fund for our children's college education.
