A loan helped to purchase more charcoal, pepper, rice, vita, fish, salt, onion, vegetable oil, palm oil, and other items to sell.

Jannah's story

Meet 45-year-old Jannah from Liberia. She is a single mother with six children. Three of her children are currently attending school while living at home. Jannah deals in a business selling charcoal, pepper, rice, vita, fish, salt, onion, vegetable oil, palm oil, and other items. She has had no problem with her business.

Jannah requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more charcoal, pepper, rice, vita, fish, salt, onion, vegetable oil, palm oil, and other items to sell. She is proud of her business because it enables her to send her children to school and to sustain her family. She says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family and to educate her children. In the future, Jannah wants to build a house and educate her children. She says thanks and offers appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
