Kuña Guapa Group's story

“Kuña Guapa” is the name of this committee. It is a new group that was formed by women who are the heads of their families. They have sacrificed for their loved ones so that they can avoid hardships. In addition, the members are participating in the poverty elimination program as they strive to overcome their poverty situations.

Luz is one of the members. She joined this committee with the intention of accessing a loan so that she can invest in her work and help sustain her household and her family. Luz produces garments by ao po’i, a traditional Paraguayan embroidery that is admired in all parts of the country. She is seeking to continue and improve in her work so that she can continue helping her family.

Luz is requesting a loan to buy fabrics, thread, and other materials for her work.

Note: The photo shows only one person, even though this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo in order to avoid congregating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
