A loan helped to buy a planting kit (certified seeds, urea, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides).

Maria Dioselina's story

Maria Dioselina and her family live in Rocafuerte, which is well-known far and wide for it traditional handmade sweets that are made from recipes passed down from generation to generations and for its rice crops.

Maria Dioselina and her family work planting rice all year round. When they harvest the grasses, they bring them to the processing plant where many times they sell to the merchants who pay them very good prices. Many times they take charge of selling and distributing in sacks. She also works at a natural remedies business when they request her work, and they pay her daily.

At first the health crisis left her without work for fear of contagion and for the various restrictions that impeded her going out to sell. However, she is now following the health and safety protocols.

This loan is to purchase a planting kit (certified seeds, urea, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides). Her dream is for her family to be in good health and to have a lot of good harvests.
