but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy supplies for making her homestyle foods, such as rice, beans, fruits, and vegetables.

Los Girasoles 2 Group's story

"Los Girasoles 2" [The Sunflowers 2] is a communal association of nine members who live in Managua, Nicaragua. They remain united and in solidarity in order to progress in their businesses of selling cosmetics, clothing, and tortillas, a grocery store, and selling homestyle foods.

Paula Isayana (in the middle of the photo with a blue sweater), age 32, is married and has two children who are in school. She stands out as the leader of the group because of her responsibility, resilience, and empathy. Her success is rooted in the diversification of her business and the service that she offers her customers. She has a grocery store and sells homestyle food on weekends.

With the loan, she will improve the infrastructure of her business, and she will buy supplies for making her homestyle foods such as rice, beans, fruits, and vegetables. This will allow her to strengthen [her business] and have better growth opportunities.
