Ruth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase stock in large quantities and meet her customer demands.
Ruth is a 29-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother in the Tamale Metro district in Ghana. With her previous Kiva loan she expanded her business of selling cereals (grains) and soya beans. She used the profit she earned to support her family’s daily needs. Ruth is now requesting another loan to purchase stock in large quantities and meet her customer demands. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her family's daily needs. She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED Peer Educator, leading life skills sessions for students in local schools on topics such as rights and choices, choosing a career path and active citizenship.
