A loan helped to pay for household latrine construction.

Yeang's story

Yeang is a 47-year-old experienced farmer and married woman, from the Angkor Borei District of Takeo Province. She lives with her family and she is selling coffee to cover her family's needs. She has full support from her spouse who’s working as fisherman. This couple has three children who’re currently attending school.

Because of a shortage in her finances, she has applied for a loan in the amount of USD 2,000 to pay for household latrine construction. This fund can encourage her to purchase construction supplies as well as pay for labor costs. This latrine will be very useful for her family members, preventing the spread of various diseases, providing a dignified life, and clean and comfort. There will be a suitable place for bathing, they will participate in social sanitation, and have no mud around the house.

She aims to purchase more land for agricultural purposes and open a small grocery store to earn additional income. She sends her thanks to all lenders for helping her family.
