A loan helped to stock up on potatoes which will reinforce her working capital.

Ishuzo Group's story

Mme Leonie is a Hekima IMF client and she presides over the village group ISHUZO. She is 50 years old, married and the mother of ten children all of whom attend school. Her spouse is unemployed.

In 2000 using the start up funds provided by her husband, Mme Leonie started selling potatoes. Later, she became involved in the Hekima program and her business has developed progressively. This new loan will allow her to stock up on potatoes which will reinforce her working capital. The challenge related to her business is linked to the rot of the merchandise.

Mme Leonie would like her children to continue to attend school and to develop her business. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to non-bankable business owners during the global cove-19 crisis. The photo is of the leader only due the social distancing measures necessitated by Covid-19.
