A loan helped to buy rams to resell in order to meet her family's needs.

Cesiriton 1 Group's story

Fatoumata is this courageous 29-year-old woman, who is married to a farmer. She did not go to school and is now mother to four children, aged between two and seven years old, one of whom is at school.

She has been raising sheep for the past nine years and gets her stock in the surrounding markets. After some time looking after them, she sells her animals and her profit can vary from 15,000 to 20,000 FCFA per ram. With her profits she helps her husband to provide for the family's needs, such as healthcare, clothing, the children's schooling and varying their nutrition.

Fatoumata is on her 22nd loan cycle and would like to have more money in the future so she can build up her business and provide for her children's well-being. She is alone in the photo, as a result of Covid-19.
