06_Ndiaré Waké Group's story

This group is made up of 18 women who share strong bonds of solidarity and mutual aide. They live in the same village and took the opportunity to join a banc villageois when it started in the area in December 2010. Their principle business is small commerce.

Madame Nogaye (standing on the far right of the photo with her hand raised) is the representative of the group. She is 59. She is married and the mother of five children, two of whom are girls. She is a used-clothes seller. She has experience in this business after having practiced it for several years.

With this new loan, she plans to buy bales of used clothes to resell in retail in her village. With the profits, she plans to develop her business, to strengthen her savings, and to aid her husband in managing the family.
