Albertina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more cereals from smaller farmers to feed her home industry as well as to sell in the market.

Albertina's story

Albertina is a 52-year-old Mozambican woman. She lives in Chimoio with her husband and their three children.

She is a long-time entrepreneur woman in her community. She has a lot of experience in cereal production to make cattle feed and to sell it to companies in her community. Due to her personal expertise, she is also able to produce and sell milk from the cattle she raises. The milk is sold in her community only, helping hundreds of farmers to diversify their diet.

For her first Kiva loan, Albertina expanded her cattle-feed production through a milling machine acquisition. In order to produce cattle feed regularly, Albertina buys a huge amount of cereals considering the fact that she cannot produce the necessary amount. This is why she is requesting a second Kiva loan to buy more cereals from smaller farmers to feed her home industry as well as to sell in the market.
