Careme Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase cement, sheet metal, plywood, nails, and varnish to strengthen her initial capital.

Careme Group's story

Madame Marie is a client of the MFI Hekima and leader of the groupe villageoise Careme. She is 40 years old, married, and the mother of 12 children, 8 of whom are in school, and 2 of whom are babies. Her husband is a shopkeeper.

She sells hardware items. She started this business 10 years ago with startup funding she received from her husband. She later joined the Hekima program to support her business, and over time she has made gradual progress. With this new loan, she will purchase cement, sheet metal, plywood, nails, and varnish to strengthen her initial capital. The challenge for her business is due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate with the dollar.

She would like her children to continue their studies and would like to feed her family. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting owners of non-bankable businesses during the global Covid-19 crisis.
