Awa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy clothing.

Awa's story

Awa is 37, lives with her in-laws, husband and their six children, all of whom are in schools.

Awa benefited from her first Kiva loan, which she paid back thanks to the profitability of her fabric business. She is brave and dynamic with her business, she sells beautiful fabric with a guarantee, which attracts a lot of customers. She dresses nicely using the fabrics she sells, which helps with publicity.

Awa is very satisfied with her first Kiva loan, which allowed her to buy more fabric and she wants to continue with this trend by asking for another Kiva loan of 250,000 FCFA [Central African Franc] to further strengthen her business.

The profits will allow her to pay for her children's school fees and help her husband with other family expenses.

Awa has always dreamed of becoming a large import-export merchant and she is well on her way.
